Throughout Great Britain there are many haunted houses and sites, where ghosts appear or people experience some sort of phenomena. Some of these have been investigated and reasons found why people have experienced things, but there are a lot where no earthly explanation can be found.
What is a haunting?
A haunting is where people have experienced strange and unexplained phenomena, from articles or furniture being moved, to the manifestation of ghostly apparitions. Many take place in old buildings where over time many have existed or resided within the building, but there are some documented cases within much newer places. Some of the newer places were often built on the site of previous older buildings that have been knocked down. Some have been built on the sites of old workhouses or factories.
What is a Ghost?
Ghosts that continue to appear in the same place or perform the same routine, time after time, are merely images caught in the fabric of time. These images are often replayed as if they were being viewed as a piece of film. For some reason the image at times gets triggered and is seen by people, but these images are oblivious of whom they may have around them. There are battle sites that have been seen again as if they are being re-enacted by actors, again a snap shot that has been caught in time and replayed.
With poltergeist activity you have to be very careful, because what is manifested seems to be a playful, or sometimes malevolent spirit. These manifestations can be created by the energy that surrounds children that are moving into puberty, and this can be found to be very strong around young ladies. The energy created by adolescents can often be mistaken as poltergeist activity, especially if there is an element of trauma happening within their lives.
Ghosts can also be classified as Spirit Entities as these are not recordings being replayed but a spirit with intelligence. These spirits may be residing or visiting there for many different reasons. Some stay there because they do not want to move on to the spirit world, or have some sort of connection with the location and love to revisit it, or have a connection with someone now residing there. Most of these spirits do not wish anyone any harm but can become annoyed at changes that are made to what they still continue to think as their home. These spirits may move things around or cause objects to fly across the room as they are trying to get someone's attention to show them of their displeasure. Some spirits may move or remove items in an attempt to contact people that were once close to them, or just to have some contact with people that are now living within that building.
Young children are very open and often see the spirit world, and the invisible friends that they play with can be from the spirit world. So it's not unusual that when a haunting or a visitation takes place that children are the first to see or sense them. Animals due to their heightened sense also react to a spirit presence, which can be another confirmation that they are there.
A lot of people are now seeing orbs shown on photographs that have been taken in and around their own home. This does not mean that their homes are haunted, only that they are being visited by someone from the spirit world. Our world and the spirit world coexist but on different planes of existence. Our plane of existence is much heavier and slower, where theirs is much lighter and faster. Our loved ones and friends who have passed to the spirit world care about us, so it's not surprising that they still want to keep an eye on what we are doing.
